I start every single day with positive affirmations, simply because affirmations always work for me. What’s better than start your day on a positive mode? It sets the mood for the day perfectly. Instead of infusing your energy with media chaos and negative vibes, I prefer to start my day with positivity with positive affirmations.
My all-time favourite is Louise Hay, though I regret that I found her very late, but within a month it started showing the results, which is just fabulous.
I always believed in positive thinking and affirmations but as soon as I started following it religiously, I started getting results miraculously. So what are affirmations? Do our thoughts really create our reality?
What Are Affirmations?
Each one of us does affirmations in life, whether one will agree or not. Affirmations are our beliefs, thoughts and daily mind chatter that we do on a continuous basis.
Affirmations can be positive and negative if the majority of our thoughts are negative then we are making negative affirmations, but if the majority of our thoughts are positive and most of the times we think positive then congrats you are making positive affirmations.
Affirmations can be done in any field of your life, children, health, relationships, abundance & Prosperity.

These blocks are nothing but the thoughts in the form of beliefs, which we find difficult to release. In general, we run around 60,000 thoughts daily, though it is not possible for many of us to always think positively if we choose to think positively consciously, it can and will change your life for better.
Affirmation is a Declaration, Power Thought or A Mantra
In simple words, an affirmation is a declaration, mantra or a power thought which has unlimited potential when it sows in fertile soil. i.e. our mind.
Our mind itself is a mysterious and very powerful tool, which governs our entire life through conscious, and subconscious mind. The superconscious mind is our higher self or Divine within all of us.
Now just imagine a car without a driver or without any control, most of us lead our life without any driver. We think that we live our life consciously and that’s true to some extent, but most of our activities are controlled by our subconscious mind.
Let’s take a simple example: when we try to learn a bicycle, we are using our conscious mind but every activity and response is stored in the subconscious mind. Once we trained in riding a bicycle, the activity is taken over by our subconscious mind then no longer we need to pay attention to it.
Same way when we need to train our thoughts – we need to train ourselves to think positively and remains positive in most of the time. If we allow our mind to run the random thoughts, we may not get desired results or in the worst scenario, suppose we are thinking most of the negative thoughts throughout the day, this thinking penetrate in our subconscious mind.
Our subconscious mind is like an obedient servant, who asks you no question and no logic unlike conscious mind, tries it best to manifest whatever you think about most of the time.
The subconscious mind has unlimited power so once a thought enters your subconscious mind, it starts directly control your life without knowing you. With all its power it started manifesting in your life mysteriously, on which then you have no control unless you consciously rewrite your thoughts.
The conscious mind has 10% of power whereas the subconscious mind has 90%of power and control on our lives. So I think Almighty has given us an amazing tool in the form of our thoughts. Instead of fearing the fact that 60,000 thoughts run across our mind daily, just imagine the immense possibilities if only we turn half of these thoughts work for our goals and dreams.
Do you find it difficult or easy? I think it is quite easy if you train your brain to think positively and to speak into positive patterns. Anything you say or think should be positive and encouraging.
If you never been in affirmations and positive thinking, you may find it difficult to start with, but believe me, once you get in the habit of positive affirmations and positive thinking, life gets easier and smoother than ever before.
Affirmation Is A Seed Planted In The Soil
A positive Affirmation is like a seed planted in fertile soil. Think of any tiny seed, like mustard or tomato seed. Have anyone can be thought that in that tiny seed has the tremendous possibilities of creating hundreds and thousands of tomatoes. Also, it is important to nurture the seeds with proper sunlight water.
A positive affirmation is like a seed planted in the soil of our mind, once planted it may take time but we need to nurture it with positive thinking and removing the weeds of negative thoughts when it arises in the process.
There is no doubt that once the positive thoughts and affirmations reached to your subconscious mind, it will manifest in your life.
How To Do Affirmations Work?
Many complain that affirmations do not work for them, but it itself is an affirmation. First of all, it is important to remember that all affirmations including negative ones are nothing but thoughts and thoughts can be changed.
So change this negative conditioning of your mind immediately by another positive thought or affirmation:
“Affirmations Always Work For Me”, just imagine how powerful affirmation is this, once your subconscious mind accepts this power thought that affirmations always work for you, you can turn any positive thought into affirmation and it will become a reality. so if you think affirmations do not work for you, try to change the negative thought with a positive one.
Another reason that could hinder the manifestation of your affirmations, is your belief system. We all raised in different backgrounds, culture and belief system. Beliefs are nothing but thoughts which we continue to follow from many ages, no wonder it took a lot of patience to change hard rooted beliefs. But with consistent practice and patience, these beliefs change and you create a new reality for you through these power thoughts.
Also, read your affirmation 10 times twice a day for 21 days to start with. Writing affirmations is a good exercise, write affirmations in a notebook daily. As writing involves many parts of our brain.
When we write we focus our mind on writing, at the same time our eyes, hands work together and while activating more brain parts.
Repetition is the easiest way to convey your messages to the subconscious mind, especially when you get up in the morning and before going to bed, repeat the affirmation in mind 10 times or more.
it is Ok if you do not resonate with the affirmation in the beginning, but it is important to choose an affirmation which expresses your heart’s desire. As you keep repeating the affirmation, slowly this power thought to get absorb in the subconscious mind. Once it is get absorbed in your subconscious, changes start to manifest in your life.
Repeating affirmations before the mirror is another great way to manifest affirmations in reality. There is something especial when you look into the eyes of yourself and repeat the affirmation confidently.
Affirmations trigger emotions when you read an affirmation notice what thought comes in your mind, if it indicates some limiting belief, first try to cleanse these negative beliefs. Once you cleanse this negative conditioning, manifesting becomes easier.
Meditation is a powerful tool to connect with your subconscious mind, meditation need not be a difficult procedure. Just set aside 10 minutes, close your eyes and just watch your thoughts and breaths. You will come to know the thought process which you are following. Delete the negative thoughts and cherish the positive ones.
Once your mind becomes calm, repeat your affirmations 10 or more times in this relaxed state. It will fructify more quickly.
